Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5 AKJV
Although the official day of Spring was in March, now it is beginning to feel a lot like Spring. 🙂
This is the day that the Lord has made and I am rejoicing and glad in it!
I hope you are too.
This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Here is a fun fact for today.
Despite its hump, a camel has a straight spine. 🙂
Have a great day!
And everything was going great until………………………. The bag on top of the box I was carrying started to fall and I did not move fast enough.
So the brand new mug that my friend had just bought hit the cement floor and you guessed it, BROKE.
If only I would have listened to that tiny little thought I had earlier.
Although my friend was very nice about it and I offered to buy a new one I still felt awful.
Then she told me “You know what my Mother would have said, you were hauling a Lazy man’s load”.
That is a great thing to remember for our everyday lives.
Sometimes I ask God what He wants me to do, He will show me something, then with all my excitement I start piling things up then I hear a still small voice “That’s enough for right now” and do I listen?……. sometimes I do but when I don’t then comes the big crash and I feel like a failure.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
I encourage you as I remind myself, don’t carry a lazy man’s load.
Two or three successful loads is better than one disastrous load.
So we need to listen to God’s still small voice and try to avoid a lazy man’s mess. 🙂
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
The other day I was helping a friend carry some stuff. I already had a good load in my arms and as I reached for just ONE more thing, this tiny little thought entered my head, “Don’t ! You have enough. You might break something. Just come back for a second load.” But did I Listen? NO.
And everything was going great until ………… To be continued. 🙂
Perfect Peace and Everlasting Strength, I did nothing to deserve such promises but that is how much my Jesus loves me.
“Most people think that God asks ordinary people to do extraordinary things, and He does at times. But most of the time He asks extraordinary people to do very ordinary things.”
David and Jason Benham
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
